Words used in Tr3e
The words on Tr3e's screens, in plain language. Handy when a new colleague joins.
Collections and products
| Word | What it means |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Your brand's account in Tr3e. Everything your team makes lives in it. |
| Collection | A season or a drop, such as SS27 or a capsule |
| Category | How a collection's products are filed, such as Outerwear → Coats |
| Product | One style, such as the Oslo Coat |
| Style ID | Your own code for the product. It starts every SKU Tr3e creates. |
| Variant | One version of a product: a colourway or another option. Sizes are not variants. |
| Colorway | A colour a product comes in. Each one is its own variant. |
| Size preset | A saved size run you can add to any product |
Prices and costs
| Word | What it means |

| Target Price | What you aim to make one piece for |
| Unit cost | What one piece costs to make: its materials, components and manufacturing |
| RRP | Recommended retail price, what the customer pays in a shop |
| WSP | Wholesale price, what a retailer pays you |
| Planned units | How many of each size you plan to sell, retail and wholesale |
| Budget | What a collection may spend |
| Bill of materials | Everything a piece is made from, with how much of each. Tr3e calls it Construction. |
| MOQ | Minimum order quantity: the least a supplier will make or sell at once |
Calendar and orders
| Word | What it means |

| PO Ready | The day a collection's production orders must be ready to go out. Every milestone is dated back from it. |
| Critical Path | The eight milestones every product works through, from line plan to production |
| Purchase order | An order to a vendor, by variant and size, with prices and terms |
| Vendor | The company you order from, such as your manufacturer |
Codes and passports
| Word | What it means |
|---|---|
| SKU | Your stock code for one size of one variant, such as ST1182-BLA-M |
| Barcode | The EAN-13 or UPC-A number for one size, from your GS1 range |
| GS1 prefix | The number range your brand gets from GS1 for its barcodes |
| Digital Product Passport | A public page about one variant: its materials, how it's made and its certificates |
People and AI
| Word | What it means |
|---|---|
| Owner, admin, member | People who can create and change things. Each uses a paid seat. |
| Viewer | Someone who can see everything and comment. Viewers are free. |
| Ask Tree | The assistant inside Tr3e |
| MCP | The open standard that lets Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot connect to Tr3e |
