Lifecycle PLM alternatives for fashion brands

Lifecycle is a young AI-native PLM for apparel brands, and it comes up often when people ask AI assistants for a modern fashion PLM. Its own site asks you to book a demo instead of showing prices. This page covers what Lifecycle does and the alternatives brands compare it with.

What Lifecycle covers

Lifecycle started in 2023 and is run by Transcend FZCO, based in the UAE with roots in the UK. Its site is lifecycleplm.com. The platform covers tech packs with an Illustrator connection, samples and fit feedback, material libraries, collection and cost planning, timelines, a supplier inbox, purchase orders, quality control and shipment tracking. It has AI for design concepts and bulk product updates, and connects to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini over MCP. It also connects to Shopify, Cin7, ApparelMagic, NetSuite and SAP.

Lifecycle gives about 7 days as its average setup time, and two to seven days for a data migration. Its website shows no prices. Capterra lists a Standard plan at $60 and a Pro plan at $120 per user per month.

If Lifecycle is on your shortlist, the practical questions are what your team will pay each year, whether suppliers and viewers need paid seats, and how much of the tech pack and sampling work you want in the same system.

How Tr3e differs from Lifecycle

Both tools plan the collection, cost it and turn it into purchase orders, and both work with Claude and ChatGPT over MCP. The difference is where each one puts its weight.

Lifecycle puts a lot into tech packs, sample rounds, quality control and shipments. Tr3e puts its weight on the season's numbers. Every style sits in one collection with its colours, sizes, materials and live unit cost, compared with the target price, so the team sees the margin while the design can still change. The collection budget shows spend, projected revenue and profit. The Critical Path dates the milestones back from the purchase order date, and purchase orders come straight from planned units in the supplier's own currency. Tr3e also creates SKUs and barcodes for every size and publishes Digital Product Passports from the same data.

Tr3e's price is public, viewers and suppliers are free, and you can start on your own. It has no dedicated tech pack builder or Illustrator plug-in. Sketches and files sit on each variant. If tech packs and sampling are most of your work, Lifecycle, Delogue or Techpacker fit that better.

Moving to Tr3e

  1. Export your styles and materials as spreadsheets.
  2. Create your Workspace and fill in its currency, sizes and codes. See Get started with Tr3e.
  3. Add materials, suppliers and certificates to the Library once.
  4. Create the current collection with its products, colours and sizes, and add each variant's materials and manufacturing to see live cost.
  5. Invite the team and suppliers. Viewers and suppliers are free.

Most teams start with the season they are working on now.
